About the Event

This event is part of the LONG BEACH UNITY FESTIVAL held on Saturday, November 26, 2022 on the John Cabrillo High School Campus at 2001 Santa Fe Ave, Long Beach, CA 90810, USA. Our Junior Chess Tournament will be found in the EMC2 CHESS PARK of the Children's Village. It is open to all children ages 4-14. While the Chess Clinic and the Free Play boards are free of charge, there is an entry fee to the festival of $10 (children under 12 are admitted FREE) The Jr. Chess Tourney ALSO has an entry fee for ALL participants of $10. The final winner of each Match will receive one of the following prizes: 2 tickets to Sky Zone Trampoline Park OR 2 Tickets to the local Go-Kart World. There will be ONE final winner from each Match.

The schedule for the Chess Park is as follows:

Free Chess Clinic 11:30 am

Free Chess Play 12 noon

Jr. Chess Tourney 1st Match 1pm

Free Chess Clinic 2:00 pm

Jr Chess Tourney 2nd Match 3:10 pm

Free Chess Play 3:40 pm

Final Head-To-Head for prizes 5pm

  • Chess Clinic/General Free Play

    This ticket allows you a space at an open chess board during the time period of FREE PLAY. Look for table markers noted as "FREE PLAY". You may only use this ticket on a board marked FREE PLAY. Joining a game on a game board without this marker will incur a $10 fee due immediately.
